I run a company in Kenya called Pop-Up Nairobi. It started when I moved here and really missed having a good Sunday brunch with corn fritters, homemade chutneys, perfectly poached eggs and a barista that remembered my coffee order.
It's now grown and I have a cafe Nook, and host monthly supper clubs. The cafe has a different cuisine each week, and the supper clubs explore different cuisines each month. I work with local farmers to use the best and freshest produce and create my menus based on what is available to explore different cuisines that are not available here. Today I am ordering duck breast for a duck and banana flower vermicelli salad I'll be making for a vietnamese dinner on Wednesday night. Yesterday at my cafe I had spinach, artichoke and blue cheese crepes.
