Regarding my taste for cooking, as a child I accompanied my mother in the preparation of typical dishes from Alentejo - hence the unique sweet descendants of Grandmother Leonilde: Morgado Cake, Cottage Cheese Cake and Cookie Cake. My technical and professional training as a veterinarian allowed me to understand the complexity of animal-originated products, as fish and shellfish, and how to choose them carefully. The dishes presented here are mainly based on meat, fish and wild locally-sourced vegetable products. It fills us with pride and pleasure that we can provide our hosts with special and unique dishes, which are not usually available in restaurants. My form of welcome is typical of the Alentejo people, around good food and fine Alentejo wine, served in an old tavern with more than 80 years, sharing stories of different cultures and traditions and finish with a special dessert wine.

Amazing food and experience! Antonio cooked for us traditional dishes from Alentejo (South of Portugal). The food was amazing, very well cooked and with high-quality ingredients from local sources. We will come back again soon!

Amazing experience! We loved the typical Alentejo dishes that Antonio prepared for us. All ingredients were locally sourced and the portions were huge. We had a great time trying great food and wine. Antonio is a great host, as a veterinarian he could explain everything in detail. The venue was extremely clean and well decorated! Highly recommended!!
