Celebrating a special occasion? Book the whole table
Growing up in London, to a family of Mauritian immigrants, I always enjoyed the mix of cultures I came across, each with their own food and drinks that brought out aromas, flavors, and worlds which I knew I wanted to know more about. I knew my passion revolved around hospitality and how well crafted food and drink could make anyone feel welcome. I found New York city mesmerizing, but with no Mauritian restaurants, not even anything close - the only way to eat Mauritian food was to cook it myself. So intuitively, I found myself heading into the kitchen, as a way of feeling connected to my roots and finding some balance in my life. Then I met my hubby Yusef Austin a mixologist and together we began cooking for friends. As my passion grew so did the following, we quickly progressed to cooking for friends and hosting Mauritian inspired pop-up dinner parties all over the US from the Hamptons, New Hampshire, Hudson Valley, Annapolis, and even London. Through hosting with eat with we marry our love of cooking, entertaining and hospitality. Our pop up events provides the opportunity to connect with strangers and friends, to mingle and chat over a good old fashioned home cooked meal. Its more like being part of an informal dinner party, without the pretence and walls, its an old-school social network of friends and strangers, brought together over a common goal - the desire for good food.

What to expect at Nandini's place
Nandini's experience was incredible! We did a private event for a birthday and she considered all the details - having vegetables with each guest's name written to menu cards to take. We had a cocktail pairing with each course. All the food, all the drinks were absolutely wonderful. Highly recommend this unique Mauritius experience!
The meal at Nandini’s was absolutely beautiful. I celebrated my 31st birthday with 11 of my friends with the Indian Ocean Tasting menu. She decorated the table beautifully for the occasion. The cocktails were delicious, especially the fresh snap pea and South African gin one. The Mauritian fish curry was an absolute treat! Nandini and Yusef were incredible hosts and I highly recommend their cooking!
