I hope you’ll come to one of the monthly Saturday night dinners at the Tomes Supper Club, our home full of art, books, music, and soul-searching food near the nation’s capital. Some of the dishes frequently churned out of my kitchen: meaty braises, beautiful salads, comida criolla, savory and sweet pies, and marzipan cakes. Private parties of six or more are also welcome on any day except Sunday.
I've been part of NOVA's food and wine scene since 2009 after a job at the National Gallery of Art drew me away from upstate New York's beautiful wine country where I'd spend days riding a fork lift, jumping inside wine presses with a hose, and playing frisbee. While a student at Cornell's Hotel School, I learned from the Statler Hotel chefs--admirable teachers of technique and creativity--and worked the line at Taverna Banfi. More recently, after two years defending premium cigars, I am now a happily married Del Ray resident blessed by the Lord with time and a peaceful home, raising two chubby little foodies, and hosting events on EatWith.
Any given evening can be ripe for a round of Bananagrams, or my brother-in-law playing the violin, or spontaneous dancing, or lively lullabies, or a reading of one of Oscar Wilde's hilarious plays, or discussing my husband's latest obsession (electric bikes? aquaponics? financial markets?)
I hope you'll join us!

What to expect at Cristina's place
This was my second visit to Cristina's home for anther wonderful Eatwith experience. My wife was out of town, so I had a most enjoyable evening with Cristina and her guests as a plus-one. I'm so happy that I chose to dine with them this past Saturday evening. What dinner is not a success when it comes with great conversation and flavorful and delicious cuisine? All-in-all, a most lovely and memorable evening!
What a lovely evening! The was our first ever EatWith dining experience. The food and hospitality far exceeded our expectations! The menu was exquisite and we loved talking with Cristina about the genesis of her recipes and menu choices. We were delighted with every new dish set before us. Her home was so cozy, warm and inviting. We found every aspect of our evening delightful in every way. We loved interacting with her husband and young children. We are now plotting our return with the idea of bringing another couple so we can introduce friends to the charms of Cristina's home-based dining experience.
My husband and I had a great time. Food was delicious and company was lovely. Thank you for opening up your home, Cristina!
Delightful, Delish, and Devine. Great first eatwith.com experience. There is nothing better than breaking bread with a group of diverse and intersting people. I can now say I had dinner with a Rocket scientist!
