Dinner at Christienne’s was amazing. The food was superb and was beautifully presented. The conversation flowed naturally and we all had a lot of laughs. Because a few guests did not show, Christienne and her husband were able to sit down and eat with us. The food and company were just fantastic.
I had the wonderful opportunity to do an EatWith Trinidad with Christienne who prepared the most amazing meal. We started off with a delicious Sorrel drink which was amazing then Christienne's husband took out a bottle of rum and offered it to be added to the drink, it was over the top delicious. Our first course was a chickpea fritter with two types of sauce and a to die for pickled slaw. Yum, We then had our main, which was a basmati rice perfumed and sprinkled with fresh cilantro, an amazing Dhal lentil stew, and two types of meat a curried chicken and a ghee pork, we were also offered a salad with a special dressing. The entire meal was beyond fantastic! And then came dessert, OMG there are no words to describe probably one of the most delectable desserts I have ever eaten in my life (no lie, I asked if it would be rude to lick the plate!LOL) Christienne made a homemade dark chocolate and candied ginger icecream. She told us a little secret as to how she was able to get the ice cream so lushous and creamy but I won't tell. A wonderful evening trying new foods and meeting new people is an amazing way to spend a Saturday evening. Looking forward to my next EatWith!!!
