My name is Patrizio and I was born in the Florentine hills of Italy learned the secret of traditional authentic Italian cuisine from my mother. Our family owns a bed and breakfast in Florence where they use typical local products, farm vegetables and grass feed meats. After graduating from the culinary institute, I decide to leave Florence, for new culinary learning and experiences from some of the most accomplished chef around the world. After a stint as chef de partie at Excelsior in my hometown, I spent a year each cooking in Spain and Switzerland, before signing on with Cipriani’s, a tour of duty that took him from Harry’s Bar in Venice as chef de cuisine, to London, and then to New York to Cipriani’s Rainbow Room and Cipriani Downtown My culinary concept is based on the simplicity and the elegance of eating well. Focusing on healthy preparation, the best seasonal products, farm to table with new methods and updated cooking techniques. Executing my mother's authentic traditional Italian recipes.Now chef D' Andrea work next to celebrities as a nutritional coach ,developing special recepies combined the right super food togheder improving all body function . In the time left ,Patrick and his partner Alex are considerate one of the first pionier couple hosting in the underground scenario of the future of dinning.With passion and exitment they create a secret kitchen where is possible to taste the ultimate experience of dinning. What a great dinner party experience! I had a truly memorable time and I'm ready to do it again! I know it’s not that easy to organize such an event but Chef Patrick and Alex managed it along with Joyce, our wonderful hostess! I really want to thank them for a wonderful evening. Chef Patrick and Alex are both delightful and very welcoming people. They met us at the door with a light and refreshing cocktail which was very nice to sip on while meeting new friends, chatting and looking on as final dinner preparations were coming together. When we were all seated at a nicely set and decorated long table, and as we were served each course, Chef Patrick told us stories about the delicious food that he prepared for us. For our first course, we enjoyed cannolis stuffed with a mixture of avocado, peas, jalapeno and crabmeat. The second course was homemade spinach pasta with a sauce that was made with five types of mushrooms. The third course was another fantastic homemade pasta dish made with the best three-meat bolognese sauce that I have ever tasted. Our last course was a very unique cold-molded dessert, I think it was called panna cotta, made with cream, sugar, vanilla and gelatin served over buttered cookie crumbs and a raspberry puree. It was simply divine. We ate and drank too much but couldn't help ourselves; everything was outstanding. I lived in Italy for 3 1/2 years and Italian food will always be my favorite. Thank you for preparing an excellent dinner party for us! It was a very special night indeed!
The chef was very welcoming. The food was delicious. The chef did a great job explaining the dishes and cooking methods, and also helped to get the conversation flowing amongst the guests. The food was delicious, each dish more decadent than the one before. Overall, a great and unique experience.
This is my first EatWith experience and it’s quite impressive. I absolutely say this is the best dinner of my 5 day's trip. I strongly recommend if you want to eat real Italian homemade pasta and feel to staying the friend's home in Italy. Not only the pasta but also the dessert dish was great. The combination of chocolate and home-made lemon mouse was quite deep taste. Thank you so much, Patrick and Alex!
