I am 37 years old, born and raised in Damascus, one of the most beautiful cities in the world. I studied law but I always had a passion for things that put me in contact with people from different cultures and backgrounds. so I choose to work in tourism. In 2009 my dream came true of managing a small boutique hotel in Damascus old town ¨Beit Chames¨ a place where I was meeting people from all over the world and sharing with them a lot of unforgettable moments. In 2012 we had to close the hotel for obvious security reasons and I decided to move to Lebanon to look for new opportunities and there I joined a project of SOUK EL TAYEB with UNHCR to support and empower Syrian refugees women to make a living through cooking and presenting the Syrian cuisine to the UNHCR, EU delegation and embassies in Lebanon. and with this project I learned a lot from these women who came from different regions of Syria and each of them had an interesting story as they were all fighting to survive and protect their families not by weapons but by cooking. In July 2014 I moved to Barcelona and now am studying spanish and preparing my next career move. I now live in Gothic district and I discovered EATWITH through my partner and I would love to share the experience and the passion for cooking with other people. In this case I will have a double pleasure, first the fact that am presenting the Syrian cuisine to the world also the fact that am doing something I always enjoyed doing it which is communicating with people. I love travelling and I have been in many places in Europe and the arab world and that include of course photography as I try to have some nice photos as a memory from each country I have been to. I love Indian, Italian, Asian and my favourite is the Middle eastern food . I do not like red meat and I prefer vegetarian dishes or dishes that have chicken or fish without bones :) . I love spicy salty food.

What to expect at Sameh's place
What a wonderful evening! Sameh is a great cook and host, we enjoyed his dinner very much. The tasty main course with cooked wheat and chicken was a perfect follow up to the typical Syrian introduction with Tapas style starters including Sam's outstanding parsley salad (Tabbouleh) and chicken rolls plus half a dozen other mouth watering dishes! Talks and laughter with a cheerful international crowd around the big table made it a night to remember. We will be back!!
My guest and I had one of the most memorable evenings ever in the company of Sameh, his partner and the wonderful assortment of other guests and friends. I can not do justice to the food which was truly delicious, and extremely plentiful. There was so much of it, we could have stayed and eaten at least another two meals. Which, I would have loved to, it was so good. But, also great was the amazing conversations had by all those who attended. Great night and thank you.
