I am an American born, Roman bred dolce vita enthusiast. After a successful career in graphic design and in the motion picture business, I am now an active writer, blogger, gourmet vacation planner and photographer. I am the proud mother of a Roman rascal whom I've raised to become a young gourmet foodie with sophisticated palate, and a passion for electric guitars and traveling. Living and raising a family in Rome, I write and report my insider knowledge and passion for a number of webzines, blogs and online food & travel platforms. My writing appears regularly in several online food columns that focus on Italian recipes, culinary customs and way of life. For detailed info, view the press page on my blog. http://www.aglioolioepeperoncino.com/p/press-page.html I author several blogs which illustrate recipes, restaurant reviews, and useful tools for parents traveling with kids in Rome. I can also be spotted in and around the Eternal City guiding epicure travelers to local food and wine destinations and on gourmet tours; interviewing celebrity chefs; and capturing with my camera the essence, beauty and daily life that surrounds me. In Europe I have traveled all over Italy, and also to Switzerland, France, UK, Spain, Netherlands, Croatia, Czech Republic, Greece, Turkey. In Africa I have worked in Tunisia and Morocco, and lived in Zimbabwe and South Africa. In the United States I was born in Vermont, and lived in California, and traveled coast-to-coast many times, exploring natural wonders and cities alike. In Central America I have resided 4 months in Quintana Roo and visited much of Mexico during my sabbatical. My travel wish list includes dream destinations like Australia and New Zealand, Russia, South America and China. I love to cook. And eat! My favorite dish is a simple plate of homemade pasta, dressed with heirloom tomato sauce and fresh basil. I'm a pizza fanatic and can do without dessert, but not without cheese. I like to welcome friends and family in my home, and gathered around the table, show them my love by preparing and sharing homestyle meals and creating a relaxed, convivial atmosphere . Come in, make yourself comfortable. I'll uncork the wine. Buon appetito!

What to expect at Eleonora's place
Eleonora and her son were welcoming and lovely hosts. The food was delicious and the children had a wonderful time assisting in the making of dessert. This dinner was one of the top highlights of my and my daughter's trip to Rome, a city where most everything is a highlight.
The meal Eleanora served us was fresh, seasonal and delicious! Our evening was delightful. She was a perfect hostess, even called a cab for us at the end of our evening. This was such a great experience, I would recommend it to anyone who wants a touch of the real, everyday Roman culture.
