Jonas grew up on the Danish Island of Bornholm in the Baltic Sea, which has fostered many creative entrepreneurs in the danish food scene and is known for its many culinary delights. Jonas has worked in high end establishments in India, Denmark and the U.K, but has now dedicated himself 100% to the Nordic Food Movement at his Supper Club MATR(old norse for food) drawing inspiration from the likes of Rene Redzepi(Noma) Rasmus Kofoed(geranium) to name a few.

What to expect at Jonas K's place
One of my favourite supper clubs so far - so good that I can say without a doubt that I would come back again, especially when Jonas releases his next seasonal menu! Creative Nordic cooking (the "cabbage croissant" was a standout) and Jonas himself was delightful company.
Jonas really tried to share his vision for the food and it showed through on the plate. It was pricey but well worth it for the experience. I went ahead and paid a little more for the wine pairings and they were all pretty exceptional. The food was super thought out and beautifully presented, plus Jonas was really easy to talk to, down to earth--great experience overall--- Definitely go for it!
This was the most magical evening I had out of the 2 weeks I was in London this year. It was an intimate gathering of interesting, engaging people, and the food was delicious. My favorites were the tartare and the roasted cabbage (it was interesting and flavorful, really!). Jonas's sister was hosting and was very warm, welcoming, and delightful. Definitely a fantastic, unique dining experience.
Lovely evening. Magical experience. Jonas talks about his land and himself through accurate pairing of food, spices and wine. He managed to create an impalpable positive flow that transferred from his delicious food to the table and flourished in inspiring conversations. Will do it again. Thank you!
