Saturday evening was lots of fun. The table size of 10 was perfect to get to know everyone there and feel comfortable chatting to anyone. The pork belly nibble was delicious, topped with a really good sticky sauce. My favourite course was the duck liver parfait with port jelly - just a perfect combo. I really like the two types of duck and the different varieties of veggies served with them - I preffered the overall taste of the cassoulet as a meal, but the taste of the winter blend varierty was my fav flavour for the duck on its own. Pudding was divine - in fact it was so good I ate all of my boyfriend's portion too whilst he was outside smoking!! Thanks for having us!
Confit Comme Ça's courses were delicious from start to finish! I could eat the confit pork belly all day (not advised) and the two varieties of confit duck, alongside the cassoulet, were sensational! Combined with Liv's homely hosting and the great mix of guests, it was a fantastic evening that I would love to repeat!
What a fun night to be at Liv's house and to be introduced to 2 types of confit! We were split down the middle. Half of us preferred the Traditional Confit, half the Toulouse Confit. A nice transition to taste both as we leave the depths of winter and turn towards spring. We enjoyed very much the chat around the table and around the hob with Kane. Lovely hospitality and company.
