Topik London is a food project project founded by Irem Aksu two years ago, who switched from the newsroom to the kitchen. Topik London mainly draws on Istanbul's culinary history and is about celebrating the food of minority cultures in Turkey along with more well known regional Turkish cuisine practices. Led by chef Irem Aksu, Topik London's 7 Hills Of Istanbul supper club series share a storytelling menu of untold flavours from the people of Istanbul's homes to the Ottoman Palace kitchen.

I really enjoyed 7 Hills Of Istanbul hosted by Irem Aksu. The menue was an adventurous mix of tastes and flavours all really well presented. A fun and lively atmosphere in a great venue at the E5 Bakehouse. Came away feeling full and satisfied, having learnt a little more about the diversity of Turkish cuisine
Overall a very nice experience. The selection of dishes, their yummy taste, the warm welcome and presentation; you could feel the attention and love put in all the details. That was a tasteful representation of the Istanbul cuisine for those who might think that it is only made of kebabs and turkish pizzas :) I would happily attend any of Irem's suppers again.
It was such a lovely evening and the food was really incredible, delicately flavoured and a large number of dishes, but they were light enough that you could get through and try them all. My favourite was the fish in onions and sumac. e5 was a great pop-up dinner venue, and Irem's storytelling at the start set a really nice tone for the evening.
