Ni Hao, I'm Jiayun though you can call me Katrina which might easier. :) I'm a 100% Chinese, love traveling and eating around the world. I also love learning different languages to know the real local people and food. Because loving Italian food, which I learnt Italian language for understanding the people and culture better. Since 2014 I travelled for almost 3 years in Latin America, inspiring by all the tasty Mexican, Peruvian, Chilean, Argentinian etc...cuisines. Probably the Peruvians and Chileans are still fighting who invented the Pisco Sour, but I found how different food of each region is though in the end how many common things together from the culture. And during the long-term travel, I realized after 6 weeks that how much I miss the Chinese food which is in my blood. Since then I started to cook Chinese food. Now I live in Vienna since the beginning of 2018. Very often I was asked by the local friends "which Chinese restaurant is really authentic here in Vienna?" Usually my answer is inviting them to eat at our place with my cooking. And now I'd like to share this with all of you. The deeper I learn from Chinese cuisine, the more impressive I got that how much more knowledge inside of it. Food is very important in Chinese culture: the 5 elements link to different colors of food and link to different organs in our body; to eat according to the 24 solar terms; to eat the seasonable food only... I cook now based on TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) Concept.
