Hi! We are Valeria and Valentina, great friends with a lot in common as the passion for traditional cuisine and the curiosity for experimenting new tasting. We are both from the southern part of Italy: Valeria is from Lecce (Apulia region), meanwhile Valentina was born in Neaples (Campania region). Our first steps in cooking were in our families' kitchens, lovingly and wisely guided by our grandmothers that passed down to us the caring in making the food and the search for genuine taste. We choice seasonal ingredients, grown nearby, as much organic as possible or from wellknown farmers. Bread, pasta, grissini, liquors are all homemade by us! The extra virgin olive oil that we use is our cooking is own-produced in Apulia region. During the years, we both perfected our cooking expertise attending several cooking classes and Valeria attended a two years professional pastry course with chef Gianluca Fiorino. Our menus are seasonal and we can bespoke them according our guests necessities or desires (vegetarian, vegan, all kind of allergies...). We have also in common the love for rowing and we do it as much as we can on Tiber river. We are both passionate about music, being amongst people and enjoying high-quality food and drink. Siamo Valeria e Valentina, due amiche accomunate da molte affinità, tra cui la passione per la cucina tradizionale e la curiosità per nuove sperimentazioni. Valeria é di origine leccese mentre Valentina é napoletana doc. I nostri primi passi in cucina li abbiamo mossi in famiglia, sapientemente guidate dalle nostre nonne che ci hanno trasmesso la cura nelle preparazioni e la ricerca dei sapori genuini. Utilizziamo prodotti di stagione e del territorio, possibilmente biologici o di derivazione conosciuta. Realizziamo in casa tutti i prodotti da forno, le paste, i liquori. L'olio é di produzione propria ( pugliese). Negli anni ci siamo entrambe perfezionate partecipando a diversi corsi di cucina . Valeria ha frequentato un corso biennale di pasticceria professionale con Gianluca Forino. i nostri menu sono stagionali e possono essere ritagliati sulle necessità dei nostri ospiti ( vegetariano, vengano, intolleranze...) Ci accomuna anche la passione per il canottaggio che pratichiamo il più' spesso possibile sul Tevere. Amiamo la musica e stare in compagnia ,bere e mangiare di qualità.

What to expect at Valeria & Valentina's place
We had an amazing evening with Valentina and Valeria. It was one of our top highlights of our visit to Rome and definitely our dining highlight. They were so welcoming as soon as we arrived and all the food and drinks throughout the evening were traditional, in season and many products from their family gardens / estates. I have a wheat allergy so I enquired beforehand if this would be ok, not wanting to cause extra work, they said it was fine and made a menu with this in mind. It was all superb. They also gave us suggestions for the rest of our trip, it was such a great evening, we will never forget it and will always have fond memories of this evening. We recommend everyone has dinner with these remarkable ladies when in Rome.
Valeria and Valentina are great hosts. They made a lot of effort to make the evening special and are very welcoming and friendly. I enjoyed all the courses and I especially liked the home-baked bread and appetizer as well as the welcome drink. Upon request they prepared very nice seafood pasta and stuffed calamari. The coordination in advance went very well. I recommend this place to other travelers.
