Linh I believe in the beauty form the inside out. Food has been the centre of my attention and my first passion since my childhood. I was raised in a typically crazy Vietnamese family in Texas. Little girl, I looked up at my mommy and was impressed by her skills to make delicious food for 7 of my siblings and I. Growing up, we didn’t have food in abundance, we made the best of it. Every single ingredient was used to its maximum potential to create tasty meals without any waste. I remember buying food from our neighbours and cook them the same day. However, this scarcity wasn’t felt as a limitation but an inspiration. Once I moved to the big city, Houston, I discovered supermarkets, fast food and other retails grocery – the taste wasn’t the same at all, it felt like all the aromas were gone. I didn’t know back then with my mommy, I was lucky to have fresh seasonal product and taste the actual aromas of fruits and vegs. This led me to dream of sharing my vision where the ingredient will be the core character and where we will highlight the beauty of it. As the old saying: you don’t know what you don’t know. Today, I feel grateful for the childhood I had. Moving in London, I met Mehmet and discovered a brand new world of flavours in coffee. By looking at the flavour wheel, I took a reality check. Together we created creative experiences that pairs certain coffees with food. Mehmet I believe that the first step to solve any issue is to communicate. I always put trust, communication and kindness as my core values. Encouraged by my parents to read, I developed an early interest for learning. Then, when at age twelve I visited my parents’ village for the first time. I understood how much they had done in order to make a better way of life for me. From there, I was determined to make a positive impact on the world, doing anything that I could to help the people around me and to bring to light the problems that were being overlooked. After graduating in in Energy Engineering, I’ve started to travel a lot. I knew I was born to be a world-citizen. Since my first international trip at the age of twelve, I have continued to explore the world. I travelled more than fifty countries where I have uncovered first-hand the variety and depth of human culture. While visiting Panama, Colombia, and Brazil, I learned about coffee farm culture and worked as a barista, trained by someone who was himself a world barista champion. The socializing and scientific aspect of coffee attracted me. Hence, I have found my path in life: coffee – culture – workshops – travel. Coffee is a wonderful beverage that brings people together. Moving in London, I met Linh and discovered different food style and a childish creativity that attracted me. We became pioneer in pairing coffee with food by organizing regular coffee and food pairing tasting events. Together we explored the world of flavours and challenge the status quo to bring the best food to reveal the beauty in them. We want that everyone who tries our food will one day, push their boundaries and discover a new world.
