Hi there! Fancy a dinner up in Westchester? Well i am a short 25mins ride on the Metronorth from Grand Central Station! I am originally from Singapore but have been travelling the world from a very young age. I grew up with a big family of different ethnicity and cultures but one thing we have in common is spending every single family moments and celebrations with food. My dad's side of the family are Baba Nyonya which we referred to as the straits chinese people back in the days and also javanese, an eastern and central part of an Indonesian Island. My mum's side is northern Indians and Malay. So you can only imagine the variety of food i was exposed to being in the family i am in. I learned to pick out spices and learning about them from my late grandmother. Cooking and seeking flavors in food has always remain a pleasure to me. I have travelled through most of asia, living in some of the countries for a few months and also living in China for 2 years. I love languages, cultures and the best way to know them are through food itself. My style of cooking are usually bold flavours, spices and at times with some heat but not tongue numbing. I specialize in traditional Indian cuisine, Indonesian Cuisine, Thai Cuisine and my very own heritage, Malay cuisine. Since i am married to a Jamaican man, i have also started fusing my food between south east asian and jamaican blend. I always have fun experimenting with flavors but at the same time making sure i stick to the traditional spices and components so as not to take away the originality of a food's history and culture. i am very big on all natural , wild caught, grass fed and organic produce. So you can look forward to chemical free food on your plates. I am nervous yet excited to be opening my humble home and being able to make the food and sharing it with people from around the world. I hope it would meet your expectations!
