After a long banking career in Cairo Egypt my home country, I moved to Austin Texas in 2016 to learn everything about Texas BBQ. Since then, I obtained a culinary certificate, gained experience by learning smoking meats from Austin's top pitmasters, won lots of trophies in BBQ cook offs around Austin (which you will get to see on my trophy wall!) and now working in Salt and Time butcher shop.
I love exploring my city, and getting to know people who are passionate about its culture and food. I organize monthly BBQ pop us in which I cook Texas BBQ infused with the Mediterranean flavors I grew up eating. Moreover, I also host Texas BBQ history tours around Austin as well as cooking classes at home for up to 6 people, in which you could learn many different techniques such as cooking the perfect steak, charcuterie basics, basic butchering 101, rolling fresh pasta, cooking an award winning brisket in your own backyard, pickling techniques, as well as knife skills, making stocks and many others.
I have a lot of passion and love for getting creative in the kitchen and I am ready to share all my knowledge with you in an informative and entertaining environment.
