Originally from Argentina, with its own special mix of cultures, I had lived in Los Angeles for the past 40 years where I was exposed to its rich diversity of cuisines. This wide range of experiences influenced and informed my food on a daily basis, while enabling me to borrow ingredients and techniques from one another. I have recently moved to San Francisco and am excited to see all it has to offer. Passionate about cooking and sharing knowledge, I aim to teach fundamentals to my students so they need not rely on recipes.
I have been teaching cooking classes in my beautiful kitchen for many years, having received over 160 positive reviews in the different platforms with which I've been working so far. Lately I have expanded my business into popup restaurants and private catering for groups up to 100 people.
I have a special weakness when it comes to Argentine style desserts, filled with dulce de leche - all kinds: crepes, alfajores, pastries. Yum!!
What to expect at Daniel's place
We had an absolute blast with Daniel in his cool live-work space. He seems born to teach cooking, and his passion for food shines throughout the experience. He is punctual, prepared, clear, thorough, supportive, encouraging, patient, adaptive, and quite fun with a group. We plan to take more classes from him.
Chef Daniel was an amazing instructor with a LOT of patience. He had a lot of skills to teach us and was able to answer all our questions and demonstrate his many different skills. I ordered this cooking class for a group of 9 girls, and everyone was very impressed with Chef Daniel and would be interested in taking another class from him. I highly recommend his services!
We had a truly wonderful evening with Daniel for his Spanish paella and tapas cooking class. The class was held in a spacious, lovely loft in downtown la. Daniel gave us a memorable cooking class. As delicious as the meal that we made was, the highlight for me was Daniel’s outstanding teaching style and his deep knowledge of the cooking process. Things I’ve done in the kitchen for years without knowing exactly why….he explained. An outstanding education for any foodie or amateur chef. Once the meal was made, we sat down to a lovely meal. Daniel is also a gracious host, throwing together some impromptu snacks with bits left over from the planned meal. In sum, 5 star class, 5 star meal, and 5+ star host
Chef Daniel was BEYOND amazing! He was so professional, kind, and enthusiastic about teaching us (even though he’s probably taught this menu a million times already!). The best thing about Chef Daniel was seeing his pure love of cooking. We were lucky enough to chat with him about his life’s trajectory, and he shared why cooking means so much to him. The joy & passion were clear, and it created an incredibly inviting environment. His kitchen is fabulous and he made us feel so at home with his warmth. Without a doubt, we’ll be back!!
