“Eat With” is an experience everyone should try if traveling on your own or if you have free time on a tour. I feel very fortunate to have found Rachele Dini and her wonderful family. Chef’s or Home Cooks open their homes up to as many as 8 people and cook an authentic regional 5 - 7 course meal. Plenty of wines and liquors, many made from their own garden fruits. Tonight, we dined with Rachele Dini, Louie, Mama & Poppa. Both of her brothers dropped in to say hello and it was as if we were part of the family. From the moment the gates to this beautiful country estate opened, we were welcomed with open arms. Mama was cooking on an outdoor fryer, making the most delicious fried pizza dough I have ever tasted. It was served with raspberry jam (raspberries from their garden) and fresh honey and fresh pomegranate, as they also have beehives on their property. The evening began on the beautiful covered pergola, the lights gave it an elegant yet cozy ambience and the table was so welcoming with a variety of cheeses, breads, ham and prosciutto. We were also served a Zucchini frittata. They went out of their way to prepare several gluten-free items. The appetizers were paired with an Aperol Spritzer. Poppa is very proud of his many varieties of lemons. Rachel made a wonderful cream lemon cello which was served after dinner. As if the appetizers weren’t enough, we had a beautiful meal starting with homemade ravioli, which was mouthwatering and delicious. Grilled over an open pit, we were presented with chicken wings, sausage and steak served with roasted vegetables and potatoes. There was enough food for 20 people and there were only six of us. To top off the dinner which included wine, mama made a beautiful tiramisu and they sang happy birthday to me. Ellen Foster Find Your Heart Travel www.findyourhearttravel.com USA 561-262-2800
