@metropolitainlondon I was born in Beirut, Lebanon and attended a French school. My upbringing was heavily influenced by French history, art and culture. On leaving school I studied Architecture before moving to London in 2016. I have always been interested in cooking and my passion for French food felt compromised after becoming vegan. I found there was a lack of imagination in French vegan cooking due to its notoriously non-vegan recipes and so I began developing my own dishes. My ambition was to create a vegan menu with substance and originality and, with this dream in mind, I enrolled at Le Cordon Bleu and have been creating Métropolitain ever since. Métropolitain began with the food but has evolved into a community that aims to bring people together, to celebrate diversity, art and culture, whilst inspiring intrigue with creative and fun vegan cuisine. Métropolitain is conceptual. It is a little like stumbling into a French-inspired fashion show. We have curated this vision into a series of pop-ups to grow our community.

A group of us attended this Supper Club, a mixture of vegan and non-vegan, and we were all so impressed with the food and overall experience. The food was excellent and we loved all the little gourmet touches. Will definitely come again!

The staff was genuinely friendly, lovely and amazing. I felt bad commenting on the food but it was too salty, too sweet, out of tins ingredients . Considering the price you're charging per head, it is disappointing. The menu has so much potential and the chef is really friendly. It doesn't reflect well on French or vegan food. High margin profit shouldn't be the end goal at the expense of the customer. As a chef myself , I can see the vision of the menu but it wasn't executed with quality or taste in mind. Please don't take it personally, I'm writing this because I had such high expectations after spending 60 pounds per head...I feel taken advantage of.

It was our first completely vegan experience and what an experience jt was! The food was delicious, the atmosphere was relaxed but sophisticated and the service was perfect. Highly recommended especially for non-vegans!

Good food and great value. Venue was a bit too small so we had to sit closely with other people, which is not our preference when dining.
