I was born in Beirut, Lebanon and attended a French school. My upbringing was heavily influenced by French history, art and culture. On leaving school I studied Architecture before moving to London in 2016.
I have always been interested in cooking and my passion for French food felt compromised after becoming vegan. I found there was a lack of imagination in French vegan cooking due to its notoriously non-vegan recipes and so I began developing my own dishes.
My ambition was to create a vegan menu with substance and originality and, with this dream in mind, I enrolled at Le Cordon Bleu and have been creating Métropolitain ever since.
Métropolitain began with the food but has evolved into a community that aims to bring people together, to celebrate diversity, art and culture, whilst inspiring intrigue with creative and fun vegan cuisine.
Métropolitain is conceptual. It is a little like stumbling into a French-inspired fashion show. We have curated this vision into a series of pop-ups to grow our community. Follow us on instagram: @metropolitainlondon
