I was born in Beirut, Lebanon and attended a French school. My upbringing was heavily influenced by French history, art and culture. On leaving school I studied Architecture before moving to London in 2016. I have always been interested in cooking and my passion for French food felt compromised after becoming vegan. I found there was a lack of imagination in French vegan cooking due to its notoriously non-vegan recipes and so I began developing my own dishes. My ambition was to create a vegan menu with substance and originality and, with this dream in mind, I enrolled at Le Cordon Bleu and have been creating Métropolitain ever since. Métropolitain began with the food but has evolved into a community that aims to bring people together, to celebrate diversity, art and culture, whilst inspiring intrigue with creative and fun vegan cuisine. Métropolitain is conceptual. It is a little like stumbling into a French-inspired fashion show. We have curated this vision into a series of pop-ups to grow our community.

Absolutely incredible experience. The dishes were creative, surprising and delicious! The dishes came at a good pace, it never felt too fast or dragged on for too long. I had an excellent time! Looking forward to trying a different menu next time.

This event was so enjoyable I would do it again and again! The menu was fun, unique and every element within every dish was beautifully balanced. The Mac and Cheese was the best I have ever had! I was lost in the moment eating it! The service was excellent and the overall ambiance in the restaurant was warm and uplifting. It was nice to actually speak with Chris the chef, he came out to see everyone and asked how the evening was going. At the end he came around with the show stopper blow torched and finished the dessert off with flames! I highly recommend this experience to all! Thank you Chris. I will return soon. X
