I was born and raised in Kolkata, India and moved to the UK with my parents just before my teenage years. My food is shaped by my family's immigration, my roots from East and West Bengal and all the techniques of my home cuisine. I am heavily inspired by the ingenious methods of my grandmothers and mother, by the street food culture in Kolkata and also everywhere I travel. When my guests eat my food I want to evoke their memories of home, wherever that may be and introduce them to lip smacking new flavours.
