Join Chef Daniel and discover the secrets needed to make New York style pizza at home. With techniques and recipes that rival the best professional pizzerias, we will make dough from scratch, then learn how to stretch it and bake it into the perfect pie. We will also prepare simple and sophisticated toppings, while learning cooking fundamentals that will take your kitchen skills to the next level. 

Here's what this hands-on pizza class will cover: 
- Making the perfect thin pizza crust
- Creating pesto sauce from scratch
- Making homemade ricotta from scratch
- Cooking a creamy bechamel sauce + many other skills

This is a BYOB event and we will be eating our creations together at the end of class.

New York Style Pizza Class // Mission Bay

Daniel provides a history lesson in the cuisine and practical techniques to use in the kitchen

Learn to make authentic New York style pizza from start to finish

San Marzano tomatoes sauce, mozzarella slices and chiffonade basil

Pizza Margherita

We make pesto genovese (basil, nuts, parmesan, oil and garlic)
Then, we spread it on our stretched pizza dough that's been topped with mozzarella slices and prosciutto (can be avoided if you are on a Kosher or Halal diet)

Pesto Pizza

We make a mornay sauce (bechamel with cheese) from scratch
We will use this as the base for our pizza, then top it with mozzarella and provolone or gruyere
When it comes out of the oven, we top it with arugula salad and homemade ricotta (also made from scratch during the class)

Originally from Argentina, with its own special mix of cultures, I had lived in Los Angeles for the past 40 years where I was exposed to its rich diversity of cuisines. This wide range of experiences influenced and informed my food on a daily basis, while enabling me to borrow ingredients and techniques from one another. I have recently moved to San Francisco and am excited to see all it has to offer. Passionate about cooking and sharing knowledge, I aim to teach fundamentals to my students so they need not rely on recipes. 
I have been teaching cooking classes in my beautiful kitchen for many years, having received  over 160 positive reviews in the different platforms with which I've been working so far. Lately I have expanded my business into popup restaurants and private catering for groups up to 100 people.
