A word about the experience
You can’t have a genuine experience in Venice without drinking a Spritz in town! We will spend an Aperitivo time together, the best part of every Venetian’s day, while learning more about the Spritz: from where its name comes from and why it is so popular both among grandpas and youngster in town. We will taste all the variants which are so popular in all bars here in Venice: the sweeter orange flavoured Aperol, the bitter and stronger one Campari, the intrigous Cynar and delicate and almost unknown Select. Drink by drink I will share with you some tips and my secret recipe as a Venetian! We will check the wine bars sipping some local drinks and enjoying some mouthwatering ‘cicchetti’ bites in several taverns and pubs that only locals know. Drink after drink and hopping from one bar to the other, you will discover some hidden gems of the city in the off the beaten path spots.

Venetian spritz Drinking class
Spritz with Aperol Its orange is unmistakable and seen all over Venice, a vibrant color that will light up our toasts and adds extra joy to the moment. We will literally break the ice, cut the oranges in slices and start our discovery journey on planet Spritz, one orange sip at the time
Spritz with Select Select is pretty unknown all over the world but proudly Venetian since 1920. This fleshy red liquor is the the true icon of the Venetian aperitif: a unique bitter that is served at the iconic bars in the Lagoon. We will definitively taste something genuinely unique and authentically from Venice.
Spritz with Campari We will enjoy this deep red version with Campari, a brand famous throughout the world as an icon of passionate Italian style and excellence. The intense aroma is enhanced by the sparkling aromatic note of Prosecco wine. Definitively a Spritz with a strong character!
Spritz with Cynar Pleasantly tipsy we will finish our tasting session with a dark brown Cynar Spritz. Cynar is my favourite bitter liqueur of the amaro variety: it is made from 13 herbs and plants, predominant amongst which is the artichoke (!). Its bittersweet flavor will conquer you sip after sip!
