Christmas is approaching and there's no better way to prepare than to bake with Joana! Her cosy and festive apartment is the perfect place to escape from the cold. 

With Joana's guidance, you will make her family-favourite recipes from scratch: Rabanadas (portuguese french toast) with Port Wine Syrup, Leite Creme (Portuguese Crème Brúleé) and Christmas Pastries. You'll also learn the history behind these sweet treats and how central they are to her family's Christmas table. 

At the end of the class, once everything is ready, you'll sit down and dig in! As you sip on hot chocolate and enjoy your Christmas delights, you can share your Christmas traditions with others.

I'm Joana, born and raised in Porto, a lover of all things cooking and baking related, travel enthusiast and a Tourism Management graduate. I love my city, our traditions and I know a lot about it since I've never lived anywhere else.

Office working style is not my thing - hosting, teaching, learning, meeting new people everyday, telling stories and hearing fabulous adventures from fellow travelers are my passions.

I come from a traditional (and by traditional, of course I mean a very loud) Portuguese family with a deep love for homemade dishes. 

My grandmothers are AMAZING in the kitchen and being able to grow up with these unique family owned recipes has been so special - I welcome you to enter this world of love, good food and endless stories.
