Professional Chef Diego invites you to his beautiful Upper East Side apartment for a hands-on, interactive cooking class, learning to make the very best Chinese Dumplings in the city!

Each guest will have their own work station and tools, as well as ingredients to make this beautiful yet delicious labor of love. Diego will take you step-by-step in mastering the gentle art of preparing and folding dumplings as well as learning how to make the other half of the dumpling - the dipping sauce. Diego will share his top tips and trick in the kitchen and teach you important knife skills.

You will make TWO types of dumplings - one pork filled and one vegetarian, and he will show you how to prepare them fried and steamed.

New York City-based Chef Diego, CEO of Diego A La Carta (@diegoalacarta), graduated from the highly accredited Gastronomic Institute D’Gallia in Lima, Peru. Chef Diego began his culinary experience in his home country of Peru, where he worked in various parts of the industry from opening a restaurant in Cusco, Peru to running a team of Event Catering Specialists in Lima. Since arriving in the United States, Chef Diego has worked in some of the most loved kitchens across New York City, including Michelin-starred Chef Jean-Georges’ ABC Cocina, Socarrat Paella Bar, and Raymi to name a few. His passion for learning in the kitchen led Chef Diego to dive deeper into expanding his skillset with a diverse list of international cuisine styles. Aside from his native Peruvian roots, Chef Diego specializes in a wide variety of cooking styles from Asian to Spanish, Italian to Mexican, and many others. With the same passion that led him to learning each of these unique cooking styles, Chef Diego offers his students a fun and easy way to learn and recreate all of these amazing techniques and recipes right from the comfort of home.
