Make and Cook Pasta like a Pro! 

Ravioli & Dessert Cooking Class

This is the class for you if you’re interested to learn how to colour your pasta dough with all-natural ingredients! My dyes are vegetable-based purées or powders that are 100% food-grade safe, homemade and best of all, replicable on your own when you return home!

You will learn to make a classic pasta dough and 3 coloured doughs, after which we will make 2 sauces to eat them with. 

We will also get to assemble a dessert of your choice. Finally, we will sit down and enjoy the fruits of our labour with wine. Non-alcoholic beverages are also available on request. The options for all the dishes will be sent to you once you make your booking. I am pretty flexible with dietary preferences and cater to a wide range. A sample menu looks like this:

Appetisers: Zucchini and Parmesan fritters with a seasonal sauce (eg. In the summer it could be a datterini tomato and rosemary compote), bruschette with fresh seasonal toppings (I usually go to the fresh market the day before or a couple hours earlier before the class commences to get inspired and make my selections!)

Main courses: Beetroot and spinach dough pasta paired with a stracciatella and walnut sauce + classic and cacao dough pasta paired with a tomato and meat ragù

Dessert: Tiramisù OR a ricotta and sour cherry tart OR a seasonal item

Hosted in a gorgeous kitchen and dining space in the courtyard of a residential building from the 1900s.

A selection of appetisers including bruschette with homemade sauces, zucchini fritters and some cheeses. The menu is subject to change depending on what is available at the market.

We will eat our pastas paired with 2 sauces, namely:
The classic and cocoa pasta - tomato and basil sauce with sheep milk cheese or with a ragù (includes meat)
The beetroot and spinach pasta - radicchio and walnut pesto

Wine will be offered - a red and a white

MAIN COURSE

Dessert will be either a traditional homemade tiramisù which we will assemble together or one of the other options available.

Ciao! I’m a professional actress from Singapore who now lives in Rome. I moved here in 2014 out of curiosity. It’s this curiosity that has led me to learn how to make pasta by hand, and now I can say I’m pretty decent at it! Coming from a multicultural background and living in a place that is so rich in tradition, I’d say I know how to move in between the two situations rather well. My pasta classes are aimed at getting people together to break the ice and to get in touch with their own selves by making their own food. I offer classic to more contemporary recipes to my guests. I like to make sure that everyone has a good time and prefer to host smaller groups. 

The venue where I now host my classes and social dining events is a gorgeous cooking school/kitchen and dining space in the courtyard of a residential building in Prati from the 1900s. We will be in a private, serene and inviting setting to cook and eat together.
